Camosun students move event online to rally community and raise money for charity

As many colleges and universities were moving away from face-to-face course delivery due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Camosun marketing instructor Anne Borrowman sprung to action to ensure her students could complete their end of term capstone project by changing the final assignment from organizing an in-person event to an online charity auction.

Victoria, BC - - Atlantic Towing Limited (ATL) is pleased to announce approximately $700,000 in funding to support a new, state-of-the-art marine simulator for Camosun College, a community college located in Greater Victoria, serving approximately 19,000 students. The upgrade will allow Camosun to offer a wider range of courses and develop a Cadet/Bridgewatch program, growing the number of marine professionals entering a vital industry.

So, he created the One-Week Job Project and set out to work 52 jobs in 52 weeks in search of his passion. He trekked more than 46,000 miles and raised over $20,000 for charity.
