We focus on the practical as well as the theoretical applications of what you learn to give you skills in demand and many are designed to ladder into other programs, degrees or professional designations.

2012 High School CompetitionHigh School Business Simulation Competition

The 5th annual High School Business Simulation Competition is being held at the Camosun College's Interurban Campus.

This year's event is open to high school students in grades 11 & 12 and provides an opportunity for teams of 3 or 4 students to test their business abilities by running a mock corporation for four quarters in a computer-based simulation. More...

51st Annual Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference

Camosun College DECA students participated this past week in the 51st Annual, International Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City Utah. The team of Kyle Blakeney and Hugh O’Reilly took first place in the prestigious Financial Statement Analysis event.

Indigenous Business Leadership attend Aboriginal Youth Conference

Indigenous Business Leadership students attended the Gathering Our Voices 2012, “A Generation on the Move” Aboriginal Youth Conference in Nanaimo, BC.

Camosun students were among 1400 participants from across Canada invited to take part in a dynamic conference that focussed on the many important issues including health, language, culture, the environment, employment, education, sports and recreation. Many workshops, cultural activities, and an interactive career and education fair were also scheduled.

23rd Annual Western Canadian International Business Competition
March 23-25, 2012

After 2 months of practice and a weekend of intense competition at Okanagan College in Kelowna both our senior and sophomore business teams have a lot to brag about. Originally initiated in 1988 by the BC Ministry of Advanced Education, and formerly known as the BC Business Simulation, 2012 marks the 23th year of this simulation challenge event. This year, the eleven teams of four students each are participating in two divisions: Sophomore Division (2nd year students) and Senior Division (3-4th year students). In total we won 8 awards!
