With just one year under her belt and the PACWEST Championships on the horizon, Camosun Chargers basketball coach, Cait Haggarty, has the Chargers’ future looking bright. Beginning her coaching career at her alma mater, UBC, Haggarty returned to her hometown of Victoria to lead the Chargers to their first winning record in four seasons.

Camosun College officially opened the Houle Electrical Shop on Interurban campus this week, recognizing the contributions of valued donors Houle Electric and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 230. Both donors generously contributed $75,000 each towards the state-of-the-art 1,600 square metre shop.

Camosun College has been awarded $200,000 in start-up funding from the provincial Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training to support increased access to web technology and engineering graphics certificate programs. The new funding will allow Camosun to increase the capacity of these programs, adding 40 new spaces by the 2019/20 academic year.
