A Digital Earth that acts as a central nervous system for the surface of the entire planet is the focus of a presentation by Camosun College civil engineering instructor Perry Peterson to an international audience in Japan this week. Peterson, an instructor with the School of Trades and Technology at the college, is presenting his solutions for a Digital Earth to the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium in Yokohama, Japan.

Fresh off her third and final season with the Camosun College Chargers, women’s basketball forward Mia Roberts is back into the swing of things – training full-time, coaching part-time and preparing for university life on the east coast where she will suit up for the Acadia Axewomen (Wolfville, Nova Scotia), who finished sixth at the 2019 U Sports National Championships.

Fifteen students from Camosun College’s Fine Furniture program used the fundamentals learned in the first eight months of the program to design and build their signature chairs. The finished chairs are part of Willing and Maple: Seating in Western Maple at the Arts Centre at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre.
