Study Abroad Pre-Departure Information

Camosun is here to support you with your new cross-cultural journey. We'll provide you with the tools and resources to succeed in this significant life experience.

Camosun’s Pre-Departure Orientation has three parts:

D2L Global Experience Prep Course

After being accepted into a study abroad program, you'll be enrolled in an online course that must be completed before you depart. The online component takes 10-15 hours to complete and a recommended course schedule will be provided.

Practical Information Session

You will meet your peers and review academic processes, policies, health, safety, money, and important documents.

Intercultural Competencies Workshop

You will reflect on your own skills, knowledge, and attitude as it relates to navigating intercultural experiences. You will also discuss resources that can help you as you live life in a new environment.
