The BCDHA First Year Achievement Award is for a BCDHA student member who demonstrates the highest overall standing after completing their first year of dental hygiene studies. The award consists of a framed certificate and $300. The award recipient will be chosen on the recommendation of the faculty.

- be enrolled in the Dental Hygiene (DHYG) Diploma program during the current offering or academic calendar year.

Most of the awards are given to students on the basis of nomination. You will be selected by your instructors or the chair of the department based on your academic performance, enthusiasm, participation and volunteer or work experience.
