Convocation Checklist

Congratulations on finishing your program at Camosun. Now it's time to start thinking about your Convocation Ceremony.

Get ready!

1. Apply to Graduate

Graduation and Convocation are two separate processes. Apply to graduate when you have completed your program by going to myCamosun.

2. Save the Date

See the order of ceremonies

3. RSVP to attend your Convocation Ceremony

Eligible graduates who have applied to graduate and are credentialed will receive an email invitation to RSVP to their convocation ceremony. The RSVP deadline is May 26. Remember to have an up to date email address on file.

You can add the number of guests you wish to invite (a maximum number will be included in the invitation) and let us know if any of your guests need special consideration (mobility, visual, auditory).

Please contact your school representative if you have questions about your upcoming convocation ceremony.

4. Order your Regalia

In order to cross the stage, all graduates are required to wear regalia.

The order form for regalia will be posted by the end of April. View the Gown Size Chart.

If you are a member of an Indigenous nation, the military, or are from another country, you may choose to wear your regalia, uniform, or national dress in place of the traditional graduation gown.

Worried about the cost of gown rental? We can cover the cost for students who are facing financial hardship. An application form will be available here at the end of April. If you have application questions, please email: convocation@camosun.ca.

4. Grad gifts and degree frames

Pre-order your graduation gifts and diploma frames from the Camosun Bookstore for pick up at the ceremony. Fresh, locally grown bouquets are available for purchase at all Convocation ceremonies.

5. Professional portraits

If you would like professional graduation photos taken, we recommend Prestige Photography.
