Instructor, Biology
On Leave. I began teaching at Camosun College in 2013. Prior to that, I worked as a Senior Lab Instructor at the University of Victoria and as a researcher. My expertise is in ecology, evolution, and microbiology. I’ve worked on symbiotic microbes that protect their insect hosts from parasites, on biological control strategies for insect pests, and on viral diseases of salmon. As a teacher, I’m passionate about connecting with students and communicating the many ways in which biology affects our everyday lives.
