Award description

This fund was established by alumnus and long-serving employee and who cared deeply for Access students and was often inspired by their personal journeys. 

The purpose of this gift is to provide an award for a student in a School of Access program who has demonstrated exceptional effort to achieve a minimum of a B grade, service to the college community or community at large and who plans on pursuing further education. Preference may be given to a recipient who is a single parent or guardian.

Student must:

  • have been enrolled in an Access program or an Access course (Academic Level - select Upgrading & Preparatory) for at least one semester during May 1–April 30.
  • have demonstrated exceptional effort to achieve a minimum of a B grade.
  • have demonstrated service to the college community or community at large.
  • have plans on pursuing further education.
