This award is for a graduating student of the Diploma in Music Performance program.

Mrs. Goolden established this award in 1978. Mrs. Goolden was one of the founders of the Victoria Conservatory of Music in 1964, and her desire was that students who graduate from the conservatory program be recognized and given some encouragement to proceed in their chosen careers.

Criteria

Student must:

  • be a graduating student of the Diploma in Music Performance program during the current offering or academic calendar year.
  • have attained academic excellence with an outstanding GPA across this full-time program.
  • have shown evidence of exceptional capacity to succeed in the field of music.
  • have demonstrated outstanding potential as a performer and teacher of music.
  • have made a positive contribution to the Victoria Conservatory of Music and its artistic work.
