This award is for a student in the Mental Health and Addictions (MHA) Certificate program within the Community, Family, and Child Studies (CFCS) department. The student strives to develop knowledge and frontline skills with the intention of engaging in direct care for individuals with mental health issues. The student should have demonstrated exceptional qualities of empathy, respect, facilitative leadership, and a strong commitment to promoting advocacy for individuals and families who are living with mental illness.

- be enrolled full-time in the Mental Health and Addictions (MHA) Certificate program during the current offering or academic calendar year.

Most of the awards are given to students on the basis of nomination. You will be selected by your instructors or the chair of the department based on your academic performance, enthusiasm, participation and volunteer or work experience.
