Digital Production, Writing and Design

This award is for one or more students completing the Digital Production, Writing and Design program with a special interest in web design.

This award was established by the Pacific Instructional Media Association (later amalgamated with the Association for Media & Technology in Education Canada) to honour Barrie Black.

Barrie Black was the founder and director of PEMC (Provincial Educational Media Centre) in the 1970s and early 1980s. After working for many years with CBC producers on Canadian School Broadcasts, Barrie helped establish the Ministry of Education's first studio to produce television to meet the specific needs of BC educators. He was a pioneer in the Application of multimedia systems for teaching and learning in the Province.

Criteria

You must:

  • be a graduate of the Digital Production, Writing and Design program
  • be a student who has graduated from the Camosun College Digital Production, Writing and Design Program during the past year.
  • have attained high academic achievement.
  • have demonstrated the ability to work well with others.
  • have demonstrated strong web production and design skills.
  • submit a copy of your unofficial Camosun transcript.
