The language of cultures

As an international language, French opens doors to enriching personal and professional experiences. Learning French is a sure way to discover the French-speaking cultures of Canada, France and elsewhere in the world.

Whether you are in Canada or elsewhere in America, Africa, Europe, Oceania, or Asia, learning this global language makes travel more exciting and gives you a diverse exposure to aspects of francophone cultures.

French is an official language in Canada, and can set you up for success in business, government, diplomacy and humanitarian endeavours. Worldwide, 300 million people speak French.

Come and interact directly with the French language using a variety of authentic materials such as music, film, media reports and art. Camosun’s small classes allow you to study and practice in a friendly, safe environment to develop your listening, writing, reading and oral skills.
