Bridget joined Camosun College in 2020 to develop and teach the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Originally from Ontario, she earned a Bachelor of Medication Radiation Sciences from McMaster University and an Advanced Diploma in Medication Radiation Sciences – Ultrasonography from Mohawk College. Before joining the Camosun team, Bridget previously worked full time with Island Health as a Sonographer where she taught sonography students in the clinical setting. At Camosun, she teaches students sonography scanning skills and abdominal sonography procedures and scanning basics in term 1. She also guides students through term 6 by being a clinical liaison for practicum, and assisting students with completing their Capstone Projects. One of Bridget’s proudest accomplishments is having a published article in the Canadian Journal of Medical Sonography. She is always looking for new ways to challenge herself and pursue her passion for teaching and learning. She is currently completing a Provincial Instructors Diploma through Vancouver Community College. In her spare time she enjoys practicing yoga, cooking, reading, camping and spending time with friends and family.
