Student Policy Advisory
Purpose
The Education Policy team facilitates and supports a stand-alone Student Policy Advisory. This is a student-only space where all the policies in development – from initial identification to final drafting – are brought to students for discussion and input. The group functionally supports reviewing information for student context, helping identify key focus groups and student stakeholders for engagement policy work, and ensuring that students remain at the centre of all the policy work we do. Students are also invited to act as co-facilitators for focus groups and help lead student engagement on policies.
Membership
The Student Policy Advisory seeks representation from the CCSS Pride Collective, Women’s Collective, First Nations Representative and External representative. In addition, we endeavour to have student representation from both domestic and international students at Camosun.
