Yolina joined the faculty at Camosun in 1998. She holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Kentucky. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Economics University of Sofia, Bulgaria. Recently, she has taught courses in International Trade and Finance, Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory and Principles of Economics.
Yolina is passionate about introducing students to the world of economics as well as providing support with education planning. Yolina is currently Chair of the BC Economics Articulation Committee with BCCAT since 2012. She served as department chair from 2008 to 2014. Yolina is a member of the Association of Professional Economists of BC and past Board member. Yolina has also taught at the Economics Department of the University of Victoria.
