Cyrus Kanga is a finance professional with over 20 years of experience and expertise in Asian equity markets. He is currently a finance instructor in the School of Business at Camosun College. As a committed educator and advocate for positive change, Cyrus also heads a non-profit organization, Intrinsic Academy, which promotes financial and business knowledge to youth and underserved communities in Victoria, BC.

Previously, Cyrus spent 13 years at CLSA, a top ranked capital markets and investment group focused on Asia, in positions including Head of Trading (Taiwan) and Director of Equities Sales Trading (Hong Kong). His market commentary has been featured in global and national business media including Bloomberg, The Logic and Global News. Before joining CLSA, Cyrus was a Consultant at Ogilvy in their financial communications practice. He advised Lenovo on their 2004 landmark acquisition of IBM’s PC unit and worked closely with other Chinese companies on investor relations, and other international communications-related mandates.

Cyrus holds a master’s degree in business administration from Queen’s University, and a bachelor’s degree in business (finance) from Bishop's University, as well as a post graduate diploma in Asian management studies from Capilano University. He is conversationally proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
