COVID-19 exposure at Camosun College, Interurban Campus, Centre for Health and Wellness

Update: May 21, 2021

Camosun takes the health and safety of students and employees seriously with a COVID-19 Safety Plan in place. In the event of a confirmed COVID-19 case the college follows the protocols in the Go-Forward guidelines and the Return-to-Campus Primer as public health authorities are responsible for determining the notification processes and requirements.

The college was notified on May 19, 2021, by Island Health about a COVID-19 exposure on May 17, 2021, at the Alex & Jo Campbell Centre for Health and Wellness, Interurban campus. Island Health has initiated contact tracing to identify anyone who has a high-risk exposure. These individuals are being directly contacted for further guidance. Isolation is not required unless Island Health deems an individual as having a high-risk exposure.

Out of caution only, a cleaning team has used the Clorox 360 disinfecting machine in the affected areas.
