Camosun Gets Fans Charged up For a New Season!

Fans can catch their first glimpse of the Chargers basketball and volleyball teams at home on Nov. 5, 2021 and Nov. 19, 2021, respectively. All teams play at the Pacific Institute of Sport Excellence (PISE) at the Camosun Interurban campus.

“Our student-athletes, and their fans, are excited to be back on court,” says Sherri Bell, Camosun President. “Good luck to the Camosun Chargers’ basketball and volleyball teams this season. It’s going to be an exciting season!”

While the gym is not new to the teams who were able to practice and train this past season, it will be the first-time fans have a chance to experience the Chargers in their renovated home. New features include: roll-out bleachers that seat approximately 400 fans, retractable basketball hoops that fold up to the ceiling, and an updated centre court Chargers logo.

• Friday, Jan. 21, 2022 – W6pm, M8pm vs. Douglas College Royals
• Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 – W1pm, M3pm vs. Douglas College Royals
• Friday, Feb. 4, 2022 – W6pm, M8pm vs. Columbia Bible College Bearcats
• Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 – W1pm, M3pm vs. Capilano University Blues

The Camosun Chargers Athletics Program currently fields teams in basketball and volleyball. Since joining the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) and PACWEST conferences in 1994, the Chargers have competed in over 100 national and provincial championships with over 50 medal winning finishes.
