Your call will reach the college's monitoring company. Be prepared to answer questions regarding the accident/incident.

Camosun's certified first aid attendants offer treatment and/or referral from 7am to 11:30pm at Interurban campus and from 8:30am to 11:30pm at Lansdowne campus. Each campus has a First Aid Room.

All injuries arising out of and in the course of employment with Camosun, and on-site student injuries must be reported to a Supervisor or Instructor.

Fire Alarms

If a continuous fire alarm goes off, exit the building immediately, but do not run. Use only the stairways. Do not use elevators as you may get trapped. Take alarms seriously—though there are drills to test evacuation times and procedures—always assume it's real!

Active Threat Situation

The following educational video, produced by the University of Alberta, will demonstrate how to respond to an active threat situation. An active threat is an emergency event in which an individual, with a weapon, poses an immediate danger to safety on campus.

There are many partners that work together to make your campus safe. The likelihood of an active shooter occurrence on your campus is extremely remote. However, when the unthinkable happens, it’s essential to be prepared.
