Post-Secondary CPABC Information Session

Are you a post-secondary student interested in becoming a CPA after you graduate?  This session will cover the CPA program in detail and include an open Q&A with CPABC's Student Recruitment Officer.  This sessions will be tailored to post-secondary students interested in becoming a CPA, and is open to students from any university or college program.

Online CPABC Accounting Night in Canada

Learn how to transfer your international education and work experience (accounting/finance) towards admission to the CPA program.  This free information session will explain the admission pathways for newcomers and international students in BC, the structure of the CPA program, permit requirements when enrolled in the CPA program, and employment opportunities in the accounting sector.  We will also address some of the temporary public policy changes regarding study and work permits made by the Government of Canada (IRCC).  Special guest speakers Sanam Kashfi, RCIC will present on some of the PR pathways available and the immigration services offered through Kashfi Immigration.  This webinar includes live Q&A from the audience.

CPABC/CPAWSB IFAC Webinar

Designated accounting professionals (active and in good standing) from an international accounting body that is listed as a 'Member Organization' of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) are eligible to apply for CPAWSB IFAC Member Assessment for advanced standing into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).

CPABC and CPAWSB guest speakers will present an overview of the academic and work experience exemptions (bridging) granted under this pathway, application steps, documents required, fees and duration of the CPA program.  Participants will also learn about the examination materials available to them, academic and employment resources, and much more.  Learn how to start and what to expect as an IFAC member in this live webinar.  Includes audience Q&A.

  • CPAEF bursaries and scholarships
    Every year CPAEF offers a bursary program to BC students based on financial need with two deadlines to apply each year: May 15 and November 15. Scholarships are also available to students attending one of eleven BC post-secondary institutions that do not have named awards: applications are due May 1.
    Students can visit the CPAEF for application forms.

  • CPA Certification program for Indigenous learners
    The Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Alberta (AFOA Alberta), the Chartered Professional Accountants Western School of Business (CPAWSB), and CPA Canada announce an innovative accounting education pilot for Indigenous learners.
