Throughout the program students gain applied knowledge, skills and relevant certifications to facilitate healthy change in diverse populations, both in the lives of individuals and within communities.

Camosun’s applied learning model gives students the opportunity to earn their degree while learning in an environment that features small class sizes, hands-on learning and access to the robust resources of the college’s Centre for Sport and Exercise Education.

“Camosun has been an established provider of exercise science programming for more than a decade, and is excited that our new students and upcoming graduates will have their learning recognized through the Bachelor of Kinesiology,” says Richard Stride, Dean, Centre for Sport and Exercise Education and School of Business.  “This renewed applied degree is an important evolution in our programming and recognition for our students as they graduate, enter the workforce and/or pursue further academic study.”

Camosun’s curriculum combines theory with hands-on practice through interactive classroom, lab and workplace learning environments. The four-year applied degree program prepares students with the knowledge and professional skills needed to facilitate healthy change in diverse populations in the fields of exercise physiology, kinesiology, exercise therapy, high-performance sport, adapted physical activity health and community recreation.
