Other Considerations for International Students

Educational credential assessment (ECA)

As a part of the international admission process, Camosun assesses your previously completed academic credentials.

The International Admissions department does not require an external educational credential assessment for admission purposes as previous coursework is not being evaluated for credit towards a Camosun College credential.

If you are interested in receiving Camosun credits for courses completed at other colleges or universities:

  1. Review Camosun Transfer Credit process. The process involves a separate form, a separate fee, and sealed, official transcripts and official English translations, if applicable. Detailed course syllabi/outlines may be required.
  2. Contact International Admissions before applying.

Transferring credits may affect your Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility

Camosun College would like to ensure you are aware of transfer credit, the effects it may have on your eligibility to apply for a PGWP and the amount of time you will receive for your PGWP according to the Government of Canada.

Many students come to Camosun having already completed some courses at other colleges or universities. Often that coursework can be evaluated for credit towards a Camosun College credential. The Transfer Credit process involves a form, a fee, and sealed, official transcripts. In some cases, course syllabi may also be required.
