Award description

Empowering Women through Education, will be presented to an Indigenous Woman learner in any program at Camosun College who is an advocate for women's rights and has a passion for learning.

Criteria

Criteria

You must:

  • be currently registered as a student at Camosun College
  • have Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or Native American) ancestry
  • have a GPA of 2.5 or equivalent
  • complete the application form

Please submit a self-written letter outlining how you advocate for women’s rights and your passion for learning. Include a letter of reference from a community member or instructor attesting to your advocacy work and passion. You will be asked to attend an awards ceremony.

You can apply for more than one award using the Eyēʔ Sqȃ’lewen (IECC) awards application form

Please note: If the deadline occurs on a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm on the Monday.
