Award description

Presented to one or more graduates of a Health & Human Services program at Camosun College. The award is given to the individual(s) who best exemplifies the characteristics of an excellent practitioner in their field of study. Such characteristics include: Consistently utilizing sound knowledge-based decision-making, Exhibiting kindness and humanity in all aspects of caregiving practices, Displaying respect and cultural sensitivity for clients/families, others associated with client care, Creates constructive and collaborative interactions with other students, instructors and members of the care team, Consistently seeking opportunities to learn and grow in a professional manner

Most of the awards are given to students on the basis of nomination. You will be selected by your instructors or the chair of the department based on your academic performance, enthusiasm, participation and volunteer or work experience.
