Camosun College’s campuses are OPEN, Wednesday, Feb. 5

Wednesday, Feb. 5, 6:30 a.m. — Camosun’s campuses are OPEN today. Classes and services are scheduled to run as planned.

Grounds crew have been working at Lansdowne and Interurban to spread salt and sand on parking lots, roadways and main walkways as conditions are icy. Please allow extra time when commuting, dress warmly and stay on cleared paths.

Award description

This award is to benefit a First Nations woman in the Indigenous Business Leadership program.

Criteria

Criteria

You must:

  • be female
  • be currently registered as a student at Camosun College
  • have Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or Native American) ancestry
  • have a GPA of 2.5 or equivalent
  • submit a self-written letter outlining your career goals
  • submit a letter of reference from a former instructor, employer or community member talking about your commitment to education
  • complete the application form

Selection process

You can apply for more than one award using the Eyēʔ Sqȃ’lewen (IECC) awards application form.

Please note: If the deadline occurs on a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm on the Monday.

Priority is given to a single mother or grandmother. If no such candidate can be found, the award can go to a non-parenting woman. You will be asked to attend an awards ceremony. Financial need will be strongly taken into consideration.
