Weyt-k / Hello. My name is Lorri, I am Tk’emlúps te Secwe̓pemc (father’s side) and Irish Canadian (mother’s side). I was born in Nanaimo and raised in Seattle. I returned to these beautiful Coast Salish territories in 1986, where I owned and operated a small local trades business for 20 years before returning to school.

My educational pathway at Camosun College started with the Indigenous College Prep program where I then moved on to graduate with a Diploma in Indigenous Studies. Both of these incredible programs allowed me to explore my Indigenous heritage while pursuing a post-secondary education around working with and supporting Indigenous students as they embark on their educational journeys.
