Camosun students and employees are annually invited to join in on a week of conversations, information, and workshops on the topic of Sexualized and Gender-Based Violence Prevention.
The Office of Student Support coordinates a variety of engaging learning opportunities designed to create awareness around sexualized and gender-based violence prevention and support options on campus.
SVAW 2023 (September 18 - 22)
In Sept 2023 the Office of Student Support coordinated a variety of engaging learning opportunities such as a Community Fair Day with local Victoria-based social service providers and educational social media content designed to create awareness around sexualized and gender-based violence prevention and support options on campus. Faculty, staff and students were also invited to engage in workshops related to being a prosocial bystander and also respectfully responding to those who disclose being a survivor of sexualized violence.
We look forward to continuing to build on the work of past Sexualized Violence Awareness Week’s to continue to move forward the mission of a violence free campus community.
