Award description

Bursary support is available to assist with educational costs (tuition, student fees, books and supplies), living cost supports, including housing costs, transportation costs and child care costs and to assist with tools and protective equipment as needed for work.

Criteria

Criteria

To apply for a Kathryn E. Laurin Bursary students must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Be enrolled in a Red Seal Trades program at Camosun College. This includes both Trades Programs (Foundation and Apprenticeships)
  • Be a female student
  • Be able to demonstrate financial need
  • Be able to demonstrate they are unable to access other support programs

Selection process

Applications for the Kathryn E. Laurin Bursary will be considered on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Applicants may apply for the bursary no earlier than 6 weeks prior to the start of their program and after enrolment dates are confirmed. Applicants can anticipate a response to their application within 2-4 weeks. Applications will not be considered after the study period end date.
