The CFUW Saanich Peninsula Access to Success Entrance Award is a non-repayable award to provide financial assistance to student(s) with completion of a minimum of one course in the School of Access and is continuing their education at Camosun College in the fall semester.

Criteria
- Must have completed a minimum of one course in the School of Access and is continuing their full-time education at Camosun College.
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- The student will show potential for success and indicate an interest in a career through their chosen program or field.
- Preference will be first given to a woman student, and second to someone who is involved in the community through community service.
- Submit a letter describing why you are interested in your chosen field/program, what your future career goals are, and demonstrate ways in which you have contributed to your community.
Application process
Selection process
- Online application will be available from March 1 to August 1.
- Complete applications must be submitted by August 1. All supporting documentation must be received by this date. Late, incomplete, or printed applications will not be accepted.
- Adjudication of this award will be managed by the Financial Aid & Awards office. All decisions are final.
- Successful recipients will be notified by email by October 1.
- Award will be applied directly to the student's Camosun account. If tuition and fees have already been paid, the surplus amount will be refunded.
- Entrance awards cannot be deferred to a future semester or year.
Additional Information
- Students will not normally receive more than one entrance award.
- Students receiving Persons with Disabilities or Income Assistance should speak with Financial Aid & Awards and their Ministry case worker to discuss how bursary funds may impact their government assistance.
- Bursary funds are considered income. A statement for income tax purposes will be sent to recipients by Camosun.
- Bursary recipients are encouraged to write a thank you letter to the donor; thank you letters can be submitted to Financial Aid & Awards at either campus.
