Social Sciences

How people behave and influence the world

If you are curious about the world and want to make a difference, you will love Social Sciences. By investigating society through an understanding of people, place and power you will develop the critical thinking skills necessary to engage, challenge and change the world. Camosun offers social science courses in eight inter-related subjects, all of which provide university transfer credit.

In the classroom

Study the world around you and learn to build sustainable environments, organizations and communities. Social Science courses develop an understanding of diversity of environmental politics, gender relations, global issues, social polarization, labour markets, and more through this interdisciplinary learning environment.

Build towards a stable career in education, social work, archaeological studies, economics, social psychology, research fields and so much more.

Social Sciences courses

To support your goals and interests, whatever they may be, Camosun offers a huge selection of Social Science courses. Many college and university programs include at least one Social Sciences course. To provide maximum flexibility, courses are scheduled throughout the day and throughout the year.
