The agreement is under the Province’s Shared Recovery Mandate and covers approximately 800 faculty members at the college. The CCFA is a member local of the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators of BC (FPSE) which is an advocacy organization that supports faculty associations in the post-secondary sector.

Details about the agreement will be available after the ratification process is complete.

Negotiations under the Shared Recovery Mandate support the provincial government’s priorities to improve public services and the health-care system, while supporting the Province’s continued economic recovery.

As of Aug. 25, nearly 389,000 people are covered by tentative and ratified agreements settled under the Shared Recovery Mandate, which is about 96 per cent of unionized employees in the provincial public sector. This includes fully ratified collective agreements with BCGEU Local 701 instructors and CUPE Local 2081 support staff at Camosun College.
