Information regarding BC Libraries Cooperative cybersecurity incident

On April 19, 2024, BC Libraries Cooperative experienced a cybersecurity incident. The Camosun Library uses the Sitka’s Evergreen Integrated Library System, hosted by the BC Libraries Cooperative.  It was determined that this was a minor breach that did not pose a serious risk to privacy. The most likely risk from this incident is that the emails accessed could be used to generate spam or phishing messages. If you receive a message that appears to be from the library asking for personal information, contact us at library@camosun.ca
