Camosun recognized as national leader in applied research

Camosun College reaffirms its standing as a premier applied research institution in Canada, securing a spot among the top 50 research colleges in 2023. This marks the ninth consecutive year that Camosun has been included on this prestigious list.

Witness Blanket VR - RH

The creation of the VR version of the Witness Blanket, being led by Camosun Innovates, allows visitors to explore the project with a VR headset, making the experience accessible from coast to coast to coast.

The award from Research Infosource reaffirms Camosun Innovates – the applied research arm of the college and home to B.C.’s first Technology Access Centre – as a Canadian leader in advanced manufacturing innovation and development. This aligns with the college’s 2023-2028 Strategic Plan of Strengthening the Camosun Advantage, prioritizing student preparation for a rapidly changing world through applied learning.

Camosun Innovates has helped companies address challenging research questions, develop new product designs, and test ideas while allowing companies to retain all of their intellectual property.
