Victoria has a vibrant and diverse comics community with many talented creators. April's research guide features a selection of comics and graphic novels in support of the Camosun Comics Arts Festival (CCAF).

Find a variety of comic and graphic novels with our library guide.

Every April Camosun Library creates a research guide and book displays to support and promote the Camosun Comics Arts Festival (CCAF) which is an annual event held by the students and faculty of Camosun’s Comic and Graphic Novels Certificate program.

This year the featured speaker at the CCAF is Luke Ramsey.  Luke co-founded the Islands Fold residency, exhibits internationally and works in public art, murals and illustration. His client list includes The Cartoon Network, Patagonia, The BC Children’s Hospital and more. Luke’s paintings have been acquired in collections with The Canadian Embassy in Colombia and The City of Seattle. His collaborative mural with Josh Holinaty won a National Urban Design Medal from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. His book Intelligent Sentient? is published by Drawn & Quarterly, and was nominated for a Doug Wright Award. Luke became The City of Victoria’s first Artist in Residence from 2016-2018. Luke currently lives and works on The Sunshine Coast of BC, Canada.
