Dr. Mozhgan Moazzen zadeh-Bacon accomplished the uncommon feat of receiving each of her three degrees in a different language - Persian, Turkish and English. She holds a BSc and an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Tabriz Azad University, Tabriz, Iran-Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir, Turkey) and a PhD, (Solar Energy Institute, Ege University, Izmir, Turkey). She also completed a Phd-Erasmus Intensive Program (Heat Integration and Bio-refineries) at the instituto superior técnico in Lisbon, Portugal.  She has several years of industry experience, performing commercial, residential and industrial electrical design.

She draws on her own previous experiences as an international student to help focus her teaching philosophy of inclusiveness and acceptance in the classroom.
