Jamie McPherson

Following in his father’s footsteps, Jamie started his career in the piping trades back in 1987 when he started a sprinkler fitting apprenticeship. After a year he switched his apprenticeship to steam/pipefitting. Jamie worked as a steamfitter as well as gaining experience in the plumbing and sprinkler fitting industry. He currently holds Red Seal Certifications as a Plumber, a Steamfitter, and a Sprinklerfitter. He also holds qualifications as a class B gasfitter, Cross Connection Control Tester, NAUSC Instructor Certifications for Foreman, Steward, and Sprinkler System Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance certifications.

Jamie received his Instructor’s diploma from Michigan State University in August 2007. He started working for Camosun College in December 2005. When not at the college Jamie enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids (a boy & a girl) and can be found coaching and/or supporting both of them in their many activities throughout the year.
