Camosun expresses its sorrow and stands alongside the Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc

Camosun College is horrified by the news that the remains of 215 children have been found in the grounds of the former Kamloops Residential School, which sat on the traditional territory of the Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc. Our hearts go out to the families and communities who were and are directly affected by this news and by the original loss of their children. We are all affected. This affirms Camosun’s commitment to redressing the impact of our shared history. In memory of these children, Camosun flags on both campuses will be lowered.

Hi, my name is Mayu and I’m an Instructional Assistant with the ETP program. I have five years of experience developing and delivering Employability Training programs, both as an instructor and program coordinator. I am passionate about helping others reach their personal and professional goals. My background in marketing has been useful in building connections in the community, as well as coaching diverse individuals on how to increase their employability in order to secure meaningful jobs and work experiences.

I feel privileged and excited to join the ETP Team at Camosun, and to continue facilitating life-changing learning for students who want to gain knowledge, become more actively involved in their communities and move forward in their lives.
