Digital signage is a way for groups across the college the opportunity to connect, learn, and share information related to Camosun.
Guidelines
Students, staff and faculty can all submit content related Camosun services, events, updates and special projects. Please note that all content will be displayed subject to approval and availability.
- Screens are updated twice per month. In order for your content to be published, you will need to submit for approval through the online submission form one week in advance. Please note that if changes are required, this may delay content publishing.
- When designing your content, consider how it will be displayed on the screens. Keep text to a minimum and avoid including too many elements on one slide.
- Based on availability, your slides will be published as frequently as possible, on as many screens as there are free. Note that during busier times, your content may display less.
- Content is limited to a display time of one month.
- Content must not include links, please include a QR code or display a shortened URL instead if required.
- Departments and groups should limit their submissions to a maximum of two slides at a time. Each slide must be submitted individually through the online submission form.
The custom frame is currently designed to display both submitted content as well as general information from Camosun.

Why digital screens?
- Uses existing monitors to offer more visual communications opportunities.
- Increases visibility of services, events and updates throughout the college.
- Allows anyone with Camosun ID to submit content for display using processes similar to other communications tools (CamNews, web edits)
Where are the screens?
- There are seven screens currently available, located throughout the Wilna Thomas Building on Lansdowne campus.
- As this project expands, screens in more buildings throughout both campuses will be made available to book.
