Overview

The Legal Administrative Professional certificate provides learners with the technical knowledge, skills, and abilities to excel in entry level support roles in a variety of legal, government, and business environments. Students in the program will develop skills to thrive in a variety of office environments coupled with broad legal and procedural knowledge, abilities, and perspectives that are in demand in a variety of legal settings. Students will be supported through coursework, facilitated networking opportunities, and integration of workplace learning experiences while completing the program.

Effective administration is critical to the success of organizations. Administrative professionals are at the heart of this, working in an organized and effective manner with information, professional documents, colleagues, clients, and other organizations. Legal Administrative Professional program graduates typically provide administrative services that support managers, colleagues, and clients in both the private and public sectors, including law offices, legal departments of large firms, real estate companies, public courts, and government.

Students may be able to use courses taken in this program in other credentials in the School of Business or the College.
