Afternoon Hatha Yoga

Balance & Body Works

Bollywood Beats

Bollywood Beats is created to spread the love of dance. Inspired by Bollywood cinema, this class is based on simple yet exciting steps to keep you on your toes. The goal is to infuse traditional Indian dance styles with a modern form, to help keep the eastern and western cultures together. Choreography consists of hip hop, contemporary, bhangra, filmy, bharatanatyam, and more.

Cardio Blast

Blast your cardio fitness level through the roof with a 25 minute class of any type of cardio training the instructor feels like throwing at you! You can expect classes such as cardio kickboxing, step, high/low impact, or maybe Tabata style HIIT. Bottom line, you will challenge your aerobic and anaerobic thresholds every time. Come prepared to sweat, breathe hard, and get super fit!

Dancer's Body

An encouraging environment for beginner and experienced dancers. Develop flexibility, endurance and strength through Classical Ballet and Contemporary dance. Techniques include standing barre, centre barre, and floor barre.

Learn to Nordic Pole Walk

A total body workout in the time it takes to walk, NO SWEAT! In this 4-week course, learn the technique of Nordic pole walking (summer training for crosscountry skiers) and improve your total body fitness, conveniently. Borrow poles for the first class, and then buy your own poles from the instructor ($91). Prescription for health with NPW is 3 x 30 minutes per week. By the end of 4 weeks you will experience de-stressed neck/shoulders, improved posture, increased mental energy, and it may create lower LDL/BP, steadier insulin, and smaller pant size. Withdrawal rebate of $50 after first session only.

Pilates

Pilates is a system of intelligent and functional movement designed to create optimal health and longevity. Though precise and controlled movements integrated with mindful breath the body is strengthened and balanced from the inside out. In this class we will move through both classical and contemporary exercises. The movements will be taught progressively making the class accessible to a wide range athletic capability from just starting out to athletes of all disciplines.

STRONG by Zumba™

STRONG by Zumba™ is a high intensity interval training workout driven by the science of Synced Music Motivation. Unlike all other workouts, Zumba crafted and reverse engineered the songs to match every move, driving the intensity in a challenging progression that provides a total body workout. The result is a unique group fitness experience.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi Chuan is a form of exercise that involves slow relaxed movement to enhance balance and well-being and has applications for self-defense. The movements of Tai Chi are performed slowly to ensure good form and body dynamics promoting muscle and balance development but also “internal” massage. In this course students will learn the basics of Tai Chi Chuan through Silk-Reeling warm-up exercises, the Wu/Ng/Yang 108 movement form, as well as “moving hands” two person exercises. Each class will include review, learning new movements, meditation, and applications. It is important to wear comfortable footwear and loose clothing that is not binding.
