Creative gift wrapping for the holiday season

Have you started Christmas shopping yet? I am one of those people who start very early but somehow, I still end up running downtown for last minute gifts on the weekend before Christmas. Buying and giving presents to my friends and family brings me so much joy in the festive season.

I love spending time on making the gifts look pretty and I am someone who really cares about the wrapping paper. My boyfriend’s family always laughs at me because I take forever to unwrap my presents as I try not to rip the paper apart. I reuse last year’s wrapping paper with different colored ribbons or new tags to save money – seeing people rip the beautiful paper apart makes me flinch on the inside haha. My mom and I used to spend a lot of time together wrapping presents for other people’s advent calendars. In Germany we don’t only have chocolate advent calendars, we often make calendars for our loved ones with little presents for each day. This year I brought that tradition to Canada and made my best friend a basket full of presents, one small gift for each day until Christmas.

As I usually stick to red and green colors for the holiday season, I thought I could use some new and creative gift-wrapping ideas. On my search for the most beautiful and most creative present presentation I was inspired by how many different options there are. Below I share some awesome links with you on how you can step up your gift-wrapping game. These links include some amazing ideas for all budgets, color preferences, and levels of time commitment. Have fun exploring a new way to wrap your gifts and impress your loved ones this holiday season.
