Whether or not you realize it, you are already practicing self-talk! Self-talk is your inner voice, the voice of your mind that says things that you don’t necessarily say out loud. Positive self-talk makes you feel good about yourself and the things that have going on in your life!

How does one cultivate positivity? And have you ever thought about karma or consciously tried to put some good out to the universe? I have! Like when a fellow female is in need of a tampon in the bathroom, if I have a spare I will happily pass it on! Because I know, that one day I will need one and that there will be another person will share there’s and I like to think it’s connected to me sharing my own.

College students are one of the busiest and most stressed demographics, but we are also the next generation of change for the world! Assuming we’ve all been to the dentist, we know that a majority of your time is spent with your hygienist! And I don’t know about you guys, but I have a hard time asking questions when getting my teeth checked, and by the time I’m all done I have totally forgotten what I wanted to ask!

If we don’t challenge ourselves constantly, we live in a state of comfort. As humans, we instinctively like to be in our comfort zone, which is why we create a routine for our days, which turn into months, which turn into years. Suddenly, we look back at our life, and wonder where all the time went. Society, as it is today, has found ways to distract us from what really matters. On top of that, we have found many ways to consume our sanity. I’m talking about all the emails and texts we send in a day, or the many different meaningless things we do as we procrastinate doing work, or on the other side of the spectrum, overdoing it when it comes to work, all the time a day we spend on the internet/TV, and all hours we spend in a toxic state of stress. In most cases, we will realize the negative impact this has and we will learn and grow from it.

In our status as club we work towards providing access to Free things for students to help bring awareness surrounding conversations mental health, suicide, and well-being. We don't meet as a group regularly, instead we plan events in small teams and work on initiatives for Mental Health on campus.

We all know apps, we have apps for banking, for socializing and connecting, apps for dating, apps for food delivery?? So it is no surprise that there are apps for health and wellness! But how do we know which ones will do harm? Not hurt? Well, considering every one of us is unique, I can’t say for sure! But I will share some that come highly recommended and are rated the best!
