Camosun Chargers at College of the Rockies Avalanche

Cranbrook, January 24, 2014

The Chargers volleyball teams made the long journey to Cranbrook to take on the College of the Rockies Avalanche Friday and Saturday.  

Friday, the Chargers women lost in five tough sets (12-25, 25-17, 25-16, 22-25 and 14-16). Fourth-year leftside Hilary Graham had 16 kills, 2 aces and 1 block. Third-year middle Olivia Redden contributed 7 kills, 2 blocks and one ace while third-year middle Morgan Marshall had 8 kills and 2 blocks. The women are 11-8 and remain in 4th place.

The Chargers men generated better results beating COTR in five sets (25-18, 19-25, 26-24, 35-37 and 15-11). Middle Alex Sadowski had a whopping 21 kills, 2 blocks and 2 aces while fourth-year leftside Alex Wolf had 10 kills and 5 digs. At 10-9, the Chargers men are in second spot in the conference standings.
