Camosun volleyball teams polish off the 2020 PACWEST season as silver medalists

The Camosun Chargers Men’s and Women’s Volleyball teams gave it their all at this weekend’s 2020 PACWEST Volleyball Championships, each finishing as Provincial silver medalists. While the season ends for the Chargers men (who have won back-to-back silver medals preceded by four straight gold), the women advance to the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) National Championships hosted by Cegep Garneau in Quebec City, March 11-14.

Here’s how it all went down:

Women's Semifinal - Friday, Feb. 21 - 12:30pm
Camosun Chargers 3-0 Capilano Blues (25-20-26-24-27-25)

The Camosun Chargers advance to Saturday’s gold medal match against the VIU Mariners after defeating the Capilano Blues in straight sets in today’s semi-final.

Women's Gold Medal Match - Saturday, Feb. 22 - 5:30pm
VIU Mariners 3-1 Camosun Chargers (25-9, 25-17, 20-25, 25-19)

The VIU Mariners are now back to back PACWEST provincial champions as they defeat the Camosun Chargers 3-1 on Saturday evening.

The Camosun Chargers advance to tomorrow’s PACWEST provincial championship match against the Capilano Blues after defeating the Douglas College Royals 3-2 on Friday.

MEN’S GOLD MEDAL MATCH SATURDAY, FEB. 22 8PM

The Capilano Blues captured this year’s PACWEST provincial championship as they come back and defeat the Camosun Chargers 3-2.
