Chargers Head to Nationals

While the Camosun College Chargers men's and women's volleyball teams prepare for the CCAA National Volleyball Championships, we'd like to help you get ready to cheer them on from wherever you are!

CCAA Men's Volleyball Championships

Hosted by Holland College, Charlottetown, PEI
March 11-14, 2015

Men's First-Round Match-Ups Thursday, March 12 (Atlantic Standard Time)

  • 1pm: Augustana Vikings (2) vs. Ttitan de Limoilou (7)
  • 3pm: Niagara Knights (3) vs. St. Thomas Tommies (6)
  • 6pm: Red Deer Kings (4) vs. St. Clair Saints (5)
  • 8pm: Camosun Chargers (1) vs. Holland Hurricanes (8)

Camosun Chargers (1) vs. Holland Hurricanes (8)

The Chargers defeated first-place Douglas College in four sets to capture the PACWEST Championship. Camosun (18-6) earned the No. 1 seed for the National Championship, where they'll face the host Hurricanes. Holland (5-10) upset the UNBSJ Seawolves to earn a berth in the ACAA Championship final, where they were defeated by St. Thomas.

CCAA Women's Volleyball Championships

March 11-14, 2015

Women's First-Round Match-Ups for Thursday, March 12 (Eastern Standard Time)

  • 1pm: VIU Mariners (2) vs. MSVU Mystics (7)
  • 3pm: Elans de Garneau (3) vs. Humber Hawks (6)
  • 6pm: Camosun Chargers (4) vs. Grande Prairie (5)
  • 8pm: Red Deer Queens (1) vs. Lynx d'Edouard-Montpetit (8)

Six of the eight teams competed at Nationals last year, including all three medalists from the 2014 event at Seneca College.

Camosun Chargers (4) vs. Grande Prairie Wolves (5)

A pair of wildcard teams will do battle in the final pairing. Camosun settled for silver at the PACWEST Championships, where they were defeated in a five-setter by VIU. Camosun had a conference-best 21-3 record in the regular season. They'll face the Wolves, who finished atop the ACAC's North Division at 18-6. Grande Prairie, led by All-Canadian Jordan Forrest-Drezet, was defeated by Red Deer in the ACAC final.
