It's been a chock-a-block week of wins for the Camosun Chargers mens' and women's volleyball teams who kicked-off the second half of the season with a pair of PACWEST Athlete of the Week honors following their solid sweep over the UFV Cascades on the January 16-17 weekend.

Cameron Fennema (Victoria, BC) is in his second year with the Charger and has been on a steady climb up the ladder of excellence. Against the UFV Cascades this weekend he was simply superb in back to back 3-0 wins for Camosun. The lanky leftside was virtually unstoppable offensively and scored 24 kills over the two matches.

More impressive than the total points, however, was the fact that he committed only a single attacking error in the entire weekend and registered a combined efficiency for both matches of over .700. He also chipped in with 17 digs and three blocks and was a key part of Camosun's primary passing line-up.

Erika Sheen (Lethbridge, AB) ran the Camosun Chargers offence on the weekend, delivering over 50 assists and contributing 14 points as the CCAA's #4 ranked Camosun Chargers hosted the #9 UFV Cascades. A 5th year setter and business student, Erika Sheen transferred from Lethbridge College to Camosun for the 2013-14 PACWEST bronze medal-winning season. Erika has led the Chargers in her senior campaign to a 12-2 record on the season following a weekend sweep at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence to kick off the second semester.

"Erika is a veteran and one of the most driven athletes I've had the opportunity to work with. Her attention to detail is ideal for her position and her ability to contribute directly to the scoreboard from the service line and at the net puts added pressure on our opposition," said Head Coach Chris Dahl.
