Health & Fun
- Find a way to exercise that isn’t costly and doesn’t take too much time away from your studies: ride a bike or walk to classes, read while riding an exercise bike, use stairs instead of elevators, etc.
- Investigate the Recreation & Athletic services and programs available to all students on both campuses, including fitness, drop-in recreational activities and intercollegiate athletic programs.
- Identify health habits that you want to change or eliminate so that you’ll be in shape for success.
- Plan your meals and snacks so that you’re able to focus and learn, avoid junk food, keep coffee intake at reasonable levels.
- Think about how drugs or alcohol can get in the way of studying and doing well (and affect your budget!).
- Talk to family, friends or a counsellor about ways to cope with the natural stress of being a student: you won’t learn effectively if too stressed.
