Printshop services
Both the Lansdowne and Interurban Printshops offer services to students. It is less expensive to have jobs that are over 20 black and white pages printed in the Printshop than using a standard printer, but it will take a little longer (normally about 2 hours). Your job is held in a queue in the Printshop, and will be printed during operating hours as the Printshop workload permit.
The Printshop also offers colour printing, coloured and card papers as well as binding services.
Check your campus Printshop hours before sending a job.
How to print to the Printshop
- In your document, choose File→Print or press Ctrl+P.
- Choose Lans PrintshopBlack, Int PrintshopBlack, Lans PrintshopColour or Int PrintshopColour from the drop-down list of printers at the top of the print window.
- Make your print option choices and click Print.
- Pick up the printed copies in-person. You can call ahead to see if your print job is ready.
Other services
The Printshops offer a number of additional services and options you won't get in the labs:
- Spiral binding with soft or hard covers
- Colour transparencies
- Variety of paper and card stocks to choose from
- Scan to email or scan to disc
- Scan and OCR (convert to text)
- Brochure folding
- Booklet and pad making
- Bring work to us in hard-copy, on memory stick, disc or flash card.
These services don't use your PaperCut account; Printshop staff will give you an invoice when you submit the job, and you need to pay at the Bookstore before you pick up the completed work.
If you're not using PaperCut, you need to provide either a PDF, or a Word document containing only standard Microsoft Office fonts.
