Welcome Week Events

During the first week of classes in September and January, the Camosun College family will be doing our best to welcome new and returning students to Camosun through virtual or limited in-person experiences.

Getting Involved at Camosun

Join the Camosun College Student Society (CCSS) and the Student Affairs department to learn about how to get involved in the Camosun community! Participants will learn about how to form and join clubs, how to engage with and participate in a Constituency Group or the CCSS’ Board of Directors, and how to get involved with a college committee. Have questions for the CCSS or Student Affairs about getting involved at Camosun? There will be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation. Academic Supports

The Library and Writing Centre provide Camosun students a wide range of services and resources that help enable them to be successful. Join this online session to learn how to access these important academic supports. There will be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation. Fairness at Camosun

Join the Ombudsperson for an online session about fairness and dispute resolution at Camosun. The Ombudsperson is an independent, impartial service to support students in resolving their concerns and complaints. Attendees will learn about their rights and responsibilities, and the Ombudsperson will discuss strategies for problem-solving when things don’t go as planned. Have questions for the Ombudsperson about fairness at Camosun? There will be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation. Parents and Supporters

Attendees will learn about the services and supports available for students at Camosun and the strategies for supporting students as they pursue their academic goals. Student Wellness

Join the Counselling Centre, Fitness & Recreation & Student Mental Health & Wellbeing for an online session about Student Wellness at Camosun. Attendees will learn about the various services available at Camosun to support students’ health and wellbeing, how to access them, and tips and strategies for managing wellbeing as a student.
